America's Choice

America's Choice
2002 - 2008

This selection of paintings is culled from a larger ongoing body of work using black paint filtered through American products to reveal American images. Guns, flags, cell phones, churches, thongs, missing girls, white male pundits and the NASDAQ stock exchange. Familiar images are deconstructed to skeletal icons, familiar ideas are juxtaposed (see Gilles Deleuze and Me).

Love the site. The felt ball game is fun and mezmorizing. The band-aid and flag art indicates you had more political insight than anyone else and before anyone else was recognizing the crises economic/spiritual/physical.
